Danceteria logo

During the early 1980s,
Danceteria was a prime partying place for the NYC scene.

Thsee flyers convey the artistic sensibility of this period, and bring back memories of that wild time.

These flyers are mainly from my personal collection and that of Danny Cornyetz, former Danceteria VJ. Thanks also to Alice Von S, JUDGECAL, Yana, and a few other contributors. Anyone having Danceteria flyers which they would willing to allow me to scan and post, please contact Robert Lund.

There's now a Yahoo! Group about Danceteria, where you can hook up with old friends, upload and view photos and flyers, and share tales of the bygone party decade.
As of March 2006, over 380 former patrons and employees have joined the group, over 6600 messages have been posted, and loads of old photos recapture the essence of those times and faces.
